Wanted to remind you that we will have a memorial service for Neka Brandful this Saturday, January 14, 2011 at 3:00 PM at GCF.

In lieu of flowers, Mildred requests that donations be made that can be divided between Neka’s two sons. You can make a check to GCF and earmark it “Brandful.”

A memorial service for Aneka Brandful will be held at Grace Christian Fellowship on Saturday, January 14, 2011 at 3:00 PM. I want to encourage each of you to attend, if at all possible. I am sure it will mean much to Mildred.

Walter told me about a family whose electricity has been cut off due to non-payment. They have children. The husband is a roofer and without a job. Approximately $400 needs to be paid. If you would like to help, let me know Sunday. Thanks!!

This afternoon, knowing that Neka was very ill, I went to the hospital and Mildred and I went in to see Neka. Her BP was 60/35, kidneys barely functioning. This was her 31st day on the ventilator. I took Mildred to a funeral home to help her make arrangements for Neka’s cremation. Afterwards, I drove Mildred home. Just a brief time later, Neka’s physical body died. Her spirit is now with the Lord! A memorial service will be held at GCF, the date to be determined later. How I thank God for his perfect timing in all things!

Ralph has been taken to Northside Coliseum Hospital due to severe diarrhea and vomiting, along with a fall. As you might imagine, Data is not handling this very well. I will let you know more, as I know it!

Mildred just called to tell me that the doctor tells them that Neka’s heart is weakening and things do not look good. He also told her to get Neka’s children there as soon as possible.
Keep them in your prayers, please!

I talked with Mildred this AM and she indicated that Neka is somewhat better and more responsive. Mildred’s son is in hospital on Fulton Mill Road; her brother is in Med Center on life support. I think it is safe to say that she continues to need our prayers!

A Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Yesterday, at my suggestion, Mildred had her son, Joey, admitted to the Coliseum Psych hospital. He is schizophrenic and was not functioning well. As you might imagine, she was on overload, especially with Neka so very ill. Hopefully, Mildred went home last night and got some rest. Please keep her in your prayers, as these are very difficult days for her.

PS: Sunday is not only Christmas, it is also Ralph’s 82 birthday. Send him a card. Same address I gave you earlier.
