An Update!

Neka Brandful (Mildred’s daughter) is very ill–double pneumonia and septicemia. I have not seen her today, as I was in hospital with Amy (surgery went well!); however, I did talk with Mildred twice. She promised to keep me posted and, I will pass the information on to you.

Carolyn Dailey will be having a mastectomy tomorrow morning at Emory Mid-town. Roger, Bob, Joann, and Travis will be there for support. I will let you know what I know, as soon as I know it.

Love to each of you!

Mac

Finishing First Semester in Respiratory Therapy

Michael is with some of his classmates in Respiratory Therapy school. He had just finished the lab final with a 97. Rest of finals are next week.

I am very thankful and very proud of him!

A Need for Food!

I received the following from Corina this AM. If you can, please respond, accordingly.
Thanks!
Mac

Mac – I don’t know if there are a few ladies in our church who would be willing or able to cook a little food, but we have several families coming from out of state and sure could use a little help in the kitchen. Gray is a ways to go so if they want to use my home as a drop off point, I’m at 3014 Clairmont Avenue. I know my Mom and I would really appreciate that, it’s taking all we got just to get their home in order again. He’d been depressed and living alone for about 3 months, a man, you can imagine. Anytime between now and Mon. would be great, anything would be great. Thanks again, Corina

RE: Memorial Service for Corina’s stepdad

The memorial service for Ronald Hudgins is planned for 2:00 PM, Sat. at the Christ Community Church on Lite and Tie Rd. in Gray. Cards can be sent to Charlie Lucero at 192 Patton Rd., Gray, GA 31032. Charlie can be reached at 986-4107.

A Tragedy . . .were it not for the fact that God is Sovereign.

The Promise of God--clear, rich, and vibrant!

Corina Tweddle just called to tell me that Charlie’s husband, Ronald Hugins, just committed suicide at his residence in Gray. As you remember, Charlie is Corina’s mother, and has attended GCF several times of late.

Please remember this family at this very difficult time in their lives.

As I receive more information, I will forward it to you. As of right now, the police are not allowing anyone into the house. Corina is on her way there and promised to keep me updated.

A Date to Remember!

Dudley & Debbie

Dudley and Debbie have invited the GCF family to come to their house for our service on Sunday, December 18. We will meet at the usual 10:00; however, Dudley promised to have some “breakfast stuff” available (I hope he checked with Debbie!), so things might be a bit different, but what’s new?

Anyway, here are the directions for those of you who might not remember how to get there, as well as for those of you who are yet to do so: From Macon, take I-75N and take the 181 exit onto Rumble Road. At the end of the ramp, turn right. Just past the BP station (on the left) take a left onto Jenkins road. Continue on Jenkins Road for 1.8 miles, then turn left onto Deer Lane. Deer lane will dead end into the Bluhm’s Driveway. You will recognize the house as Rudolph, Dancer, and Prancer will be on the roof, and there will probably be a flock of wild turkeys nearby.

I am trusting that each of you will plan to attend this very special time!

I am also looking forward to this Sunday, as we continue our study of Genesis!

A Card for Ralph & Data

The Happy Couple

Please send Ralph & Data a card. They will really appreciate it!

Ralph & Data Whitehead; C/O Flint River Memory Care Center; 250 Water Tower Court; Macon, GA 31210

Have yourself a wonderful evening!

PS: If you were not at GCF today, you were missed!

Unbelievable!!

Yesterday, Roger Miller cut his hand on a table saw.  Actually, it was his right index finger–all the way, and them some, to the bone!

Need I say more?

As his pastor, I am officially restricting him from “saw work” for at least 20 years!

Please keep Bob & JoAnne in your prayers, as they are traveling to some foreign land, New Jersey I think.

REMINDER: Connie Carey at GCF on Friday evening, December 16, at 7:00. We will also have a covered dish supper. Please plan to attend.

Blessings,

Mac

At the Cove!

Alan & Mac with Buddy Green

No, Buddy Green did not ask Alan or me to join him in playing his harmonica! Come to think of it, neither did he ask us to assist him in playing the guitar. Oh well . . .

We surely did have a good time listening to him and Jeffrey. Such incredible musicians!

If you ever have a chance to attend a conference at The Cove in Asheville, NC, please take advantage of the opportunity and go! You will be glad you did!

It is on my bucket list to lead a conference there, so be on the lookout. Thankfully, they do allow renegades like me to use the facility, however it does require ADVANCE PLANNING, so pray that I can live long enough to attend whatever date I might be given.

This is the day the Lord has made, and it is, indeed, beautiful, so enjoy it!

See you in the morning at GCF!
